The professional information security field is a great place for your career and Rochester information security positions continue to be available even in a down economy. The (ISC)2 CISSP certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is one of the most recognized certifications to advance your career. The CISSP certification requires 5 years of experience in information security, however if you don't yet have the 5 years of experience, you can still take the CISSP exam, get the Associate of (ISC)2 certification and complete your CISSP experience requirements after being certified. The CISSP bootcamp will be held at a Location to be announced. Class starts Monday at 5:30pm. Instruction will continue to about 9:00pm. Food (pizza, wraps or sandwiches, etc) will be provided for any people coming directly from work.

Who will teach the class?
Ralph Durkee has helped more Rochester professionals get CISSP certified than any instructor in the western NY area. He has decades of hands on, in the trenches experience, and yet can present the vast information in the CISSP domains in a relevant and easy to understand format.
Ralph Durkee is the founder and President of Durkee Consulting, Inc. since 1996. Performing a wide variety of consulting and training projects including software development, systems and networking security throughout his 25+ year career. His specialty focuses on Internet security consulting and secure system and web application development and Payment Card Industry (PCI) consulting. Ralph served as project lead for many of the Center for Internet Security's benchmark standards including DNS BIND, Apache, Red Hat Linux as well as several others. Ralph is a seasoned security consultant and trainer and holds GIAC certifications in GSEC since 2000 then GCIH since 2001 as well as the GSNA, GCIA, GPEN, GXPN, CRISC and CISSP. Ralph also serves as Rochester OWASP Chapter Lead and Founder, Rochester ISSA Past President and on the RJUG executive board.
